AANUND'S LANGUAGEBLOG
In this blog I want to make a note of and maybe even some comments about new words(new to me) that I come across in the language field. I am not a native English user, but I hope some of my obervations make valuable reading.

Hissy fit
It was actually watching a television programme that I came across this word. A hissy fit sounded interesting to me. If hissy is as in snakes, I am trying to get a hunch of what a hissy fit would sound like or even look like. The fact that this usage reminds me of a word in my native language, makes this even more interesting, as I also have an interest in ethymology and the emergence of new words. In my native language, Norwegian, we have the common word 'hissig', which usually denotes a form of excitement with a slight negative flavour to it.Feel free to comment if you have an opinion, or even some additional information.
